Murphy Austin Adams Schoenfeld LLP is looking for a full-time Help Desk Technician to join our IT Department. This position provides first-level technical support to end users in a prompt, professional, and service-oriented manner. The role will start as fully in-office in our Sacramento office, with the potential for a hybrid work schedule in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to Help Desk tickets and user support requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Troubleshoot technical issues for both on-site and remote users; escalate complex problems to senior IT staff as needed
- Set up and configure hardware including laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile phones, desk phones, and printers
- Support office moves and desk reconfigurations
- Install and test firm-specific software and applications
- Set up meetings, both in-person or virtual (e.g., Zoom), including troubleshooting audio/video issues and assisting guests with connectivity
- Assist with various IT-related projects and initiatives as required
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a Help Desk or technical support role, or relevant education (college coursework or technical certifications)
- Strong customer service skills, with clear communication and reliable follow-up
- Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues and solve problems independently
- Proficiency with Windows 11 and Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with legal applications (iManage, Milana, IPRO, Forte) a plus
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Murphy Austin offers a competitive salary and benefit package and a collegial, professional and supportive environment. Compensation for this position ranges from $48,750 – $65,000 depending on skills and substantive experience.
