Our COVID-19 Response

While we all continue to track the latest, rapidly evolving developments concerning COVID-19, Murphy Austin stands ready to continue to provide exceptional, uninterrupted legal services during these uncertain and challenging times.

To our concerned clients, colleagues and community friends,

At Murphy Austin, our highest priority is—and will always remain—the health and well-being of our employees, our clients and their families.

While we all continue to track the latest, rapidly evolving developments concerning COVID-19, Murphy Austin stands ready to continue to provide exceptional, uninterrupted legal services during these uncertain and challenging times.  We want to briefly share with you the decisive actions we are taking to safeguard the health and well-being of our employees, clients, and colleagues, while concurrently implementing contingency plans to continue to serve our clients, regardless of location.

For the protection of our employees and visitors, and in conformance with guidance issued by the CDC, as well as other state and local authorities, we have postponed all Murphy Austin-sponsored in-person events scheduled for the foreseeable future.  We are also limiting all non-essential business travel, and implementing heightened cleaning and sanitizing procedures.   While our physical office remains open, we appreciate your understanding and support of our temporary preference for telephonic and video-conferenced meetings.  Further, in compliance with the CDC’s social distancing recommendations, and as part of our commitment to maintaining the highest level of service throughout this unprecedented time, we are encouraging all of our attorneys and non-essential support staff to work remotely in our secure environment to protect your sensitive information.

We are continuously monitoring the latest recommendations and advisories issued by the federal, state and local authorities, and our firm-wide efforts and approach will adapt as necessary during the upcoming days and weeks.

This is an extraordinary and uncertain time for everyone.  Through all of this, we will be there for you, and we thank you for your continuing confidence in Murphy Austin’s ability to serve and support you.

From all of us at Murphy Austin, we extend our best wishes for the health of you, your family and our entire community.  Should you have any questions, please contact your Murphy Austin attorney via e-mail.
