John Fischer's practice focuses on the representation of clients in general civil and complex litigation. Representing individuals as well as lenders, insurers, employers, media clients, corporations and other businesses, he has handled a broad variety of matters. These include business and real estate litigation, insurance "bad faith," employment, construction defect, lender liability and defamation/newsgathering litigation. He also has experience representing clients before local governmental and state administrative agencies.

 

Mr. Fischer is a member of the American Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. He also serves as a Pro Tem Settlement Conference Judge for the Sacramento County Superior Court.

 

Active in the Sacramento community, Mr. Fischer has served on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Zoological Society and on the Community Services Planning Council's Business Roundtable.

 

Mr. Fischer earned his BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1972, and his JD, with distinction, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1975.
