Brian Crone is
a partner with the Construction
Law, Business Litigation
and Labor and Employment Law
Teams. His practice focuses on all aspects of general civil litigation
with an emphasis on construction litigation, which includes the representation
of contractors, developers, owners and design professionals, intellectual
property litigation and labor and employment.
Brian has represented
clients before both state and federal courts as well as in binding arbitrations. His
intellectual property practice focuses on the representation of individuals
and companies in
connection with trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, unfair competition,
anti-compete and anti-solicitation clauses, and anti-cybersquatting on
the Internet.
Brian has represented
several clients (both employer and employees) concerning anti-compete
provisions in employment agreements. Brian
successfully represented an employer in court in its attempt to prevent
a former employee from competing by utilizing the employer’s other
confidential and proprietary information.
Brian earned
his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara and his J.D.
from the University of California School
of Law, Davis where he participated in the Trial Attorney’s Club. Brian
is a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Evidence
